Ukraine: "We are going home, Crimea is in Russia!" - PM Aksyonov
"Crimea is Russia!", Sergei Aksyonov the Prime Minister of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea exclaimed as he congratulated the Crimean people for their "courage" in pushing for the referendum to join the Russian Federation from Lenin Square in Simferopol, Sunday evening. He thanked his compatriots and Russia for their support. The Crimean Supreme Council's speaker Vladimir Konstantinov shared the stage with Aksyonov as they spoke to the jubilant crowd. The Russian national anthem resounded from the stage throughout the crowd. After the anthem, the celebration continued with fireworks. Thousands of people took the streets of Kharkov, Sunday, demanding a referendum similar to the one held in Crimea. Protesters held Russian flags and occupied the offices of far-right parties. Demonstrators in Kharkov appealed to Russia to go to the UN with their demands over a referendum on the federalisation. On Friday night, two people were killed in the city in a shooting that's been blamed on Right Sector radicals.
